GamerSafe
Welcome to the service called GamerSafe. This is the service which we will be using for the rest of our games. Why? Simply because it provides a lot of the services which we want in our game. Universal login, universal saved games, universal achievements, universal micro-transactions, and a universal in-game currency which is different from micro-transactions. Well we saw these guys as a great way to go, but we wanted to be sure so I asked a few simple questions about their service which were not answered on their FAQ page. Read more to see the questions and answers.
Q: Are you considering going into the pre-game ad business any time in the near future?
A: We don’t plan to get into the pre-ad business as of now, but we do have a partnership with CPMStar (cpmstar.com) which delivers twice the cpm of Mochi on average.
Q: How many users(players) have an account with GamerSafe (We want a large player base)?
A: I can’t disclose how many players are signed up for GamerSafe, but our games have reached millions.
Q: What percentage do we get to keep of all the profits made from GamerSafe?
A: You get to keep 60% of the gross revenue on microtransactions in GamerSafe.
Q: Has GamerSafe considering making deals with Kongregate that will allow us to upload games that use GamerSafe to their portal(They have a high eCPM)?
A: We have a very close relationship with Kongregate. Currently they do not take any system that has a login component, but we are working with them on a daily basis to find a way to work together. We have many gamersafe games on Kongregate, actually, we just handle them a little differently.
Q: How does it work on Kongregate? Do you just disable the login system and the microtransactions?
A: For Kongregate, yes, we usually disable the system and have links back to sites where users can play extra content with GamerSafe.
Q: You also say that you have a cpmstar partnership, which is exactly where I am looking into. Does your partnership offer any benefits, such as a more likely chance for them(cpmstar) to accept my games?
A: Our partnership with CPMStar is mainly an integration with FlashGameLicense.com where, if you accept a bid there you can easily get your game code
So there you have it. It seems like we our going to go with GamerSafe. Many are going to ask why we are not using Mochi when it has all of these features and more. Well, this is going to sound a little on the pessimistic side, but when Mochi was sold to the Chinese company, it started some research on the company itself. With a little digging, it was found out that this company was (allegedly) not in the legal zone. You can read about it here. I know its not confirmed and that most likely nothing will happen to our team, but to be on the safe side, we have chosen to use GamerSafe. Also, please note that this article is not the place to discuss the legalities(if any) of the Mochimedia corporation. A final word about the subject, is that I personally have a Mochimedia account and am quite happy with the results.
Cheers,
UnknownGuardian

“…it was found out that this company was (allegedly) not in the legal zone.”
I would say, in the “Gold Farming” zone :p
GamerSafe definitely seems to be the better choice between MochiCoins and GamerSafe. I’ve yet to try either out, but I like the UI of GamerSafe a lot, and FGL has been a great partner in the industry for me. I recently wrote an article on Microtransactions myself, definitely a good read for anyone further interested on the matter; check it out when you get the time.
